2 Tickets to Paradise-BELIZE

So we booked 2 tickets to paradise and flew in to Belize City on September 12th, 2010. We then took an hour and 20 minute boat ride to Ambergris Caye. We stayed in San Pedro, Belize on Ambergris Caye for a week.

What does it actually take to move to a tropical island?

Have you ever daydreamed about giving up all of your worldly possessions and moving to an island in the Caribbean? Well, of course you have. Everyone does it at some point in their life. But does anyone you know really ever do it? NO, not usually. What would it take to actually go through with it and find this island paradise?

The hardest part would simply be letting go of your anchors, both physical and psychological, that hold you where you currently live. Your job, your home, your car, your friends, your family, your lifestyle... to just let go. Lease or sell your home, sell everything else or give it away, and just move. If you decide after a year of being a "BEACH BUM" that it is just not for you, then you simply could just return home. It will still be there waiting for you.
