The month of August is locally referred to as the "Little Dry". Rainfall starts to decrease and the easterly winds are beginning to die down. August temperatures range from an average low of 78.0 degrees to an average high of 86.0 degrees.
Ah, that's why we had almost no rain when we were there in late August last year! We couldn't believe it was the "rainy" season as it was rainier in May. This year in early July there was quite a bit more rain, but not so much that we didn't thoroughly enjoy ourselves!
Yep, the easterly winds die down and the westerly winds pick up...bringing in the dry air. Gotta love that Belizean weather. We love playing in the rain. It rained on us some in September..but we still had a good time as well.
