We had always planned on retiring to Key West, Florida. Most Americans always dream of retiring to the sunny beaches of Florida. We had made numerous trips to Key West to look at property to buy. Bill loved it there. I always said it would be too boring to live there 24/7. There just was not enough there I thought for us to do. I wanted more changes in scenery. But that continued to be the plan.
We had pretty much forgotten about Belize until reading an article online changed everything. “How to Retire Comfortably for Under $1,500 a Month” in Belize. We read this article and thought…maybe we could retire to a tropical island paradise. But instead of Key West, it could be BELIZE.
